Medical Disclaimer

This platform is a connection and coordination service. It does not provide medical advice, determine donor eligibility, perform blood testing, or guarantee blood compatibility. All medical decisions, eligibility decisions, testing, collection, transfusion, and treatment must be handled by qualified healthcare professionals and authorised blood banks and hospitals.
Not an emergency service
What this platform does
BloodPk helps a person who needs blood find people in their city who have said they may be willing to donate, and gives the two sides a way to make contact. That is the whole of the service. Everything that follows contact - screening, eligibility, testing, cross-matching, collection, storage, and transfusion - happens at a hospital or blood bank, under the care of qualified professionals, and entirely outside this platform.
What this platform does not do
- It does not give medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- It does not decide whether anyone is medically eligible to donate or to receive blood.
- It does not test blood, screen for infection, or perform cross-matching.
- It does not guarantee that a donor listed as compatible is a safe or suitable donor for a particular patient.
- It does not verify anyone's stated blood type.
- It does not guarantee that any donor will be available, respond, or donate.
- It does not decide how much blood may safely be donated.
About blood type matching on this platform
When you search, BloodPk narrows candidates using a standard ABO and Rh table for red cell compatibility. This is a screening aid to reduce wasted contact, not a clinical determination. Compatibility for an actual transfusion is established by the treating facility through cross-matching and other required tests.
Blood types shown on the platform are self-reported by donors and are not verified by BloodPk. A donor may be mistaken about their own blood type. The collecting facility will establish it independently.
The compatibility rules used are limited to red cell transfusion. Platelets, plasma, and other components follow different rules and are outside the scope of this platform.
Donation volume
The volume recorded against a donation on this platform is a record of what a facility reported, not a recommendation. How much blood may safely be taken from a given person, and how often, is determined by qualified medical staff according to that person's health and local medical guidelines. Never rely on a number shown here as guidance for what is safe.
Availability is not consent
A donor appearing in search results, or marked as available, has not agreed to donate to you. Availability indicates only when a person is generally willing to be contacted. Always contact a donor first and confirm before making arrangements at a hospital or blood bank, and accept a decision not to donate without pressure.
Your responsibility
If you are donating, tell the collecting facility your full and accurate medical history, and follow their instructions. If you are receiving blood, follow the guidance of your treating clinicians. Do not use this platform to arrange any direct transfer of blood outside a licensed medical facility.
