1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using BloodPk, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What BloodPk is

BloodPk is a coordination platform that helps people who are looking for blood find people who are willing to donate it, based on blood type and city. BloodPk connects donors and requesters; it does not perform, supervise, or participate in any medical procedure, including blood collection, testing, or transfusion. BloodPk is not a hospital, clinic, laboratory, or blood bank, and no part of the platform should be treated as one.

3. Your account and information

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register and keep it up to date, including your blood type, city, and contact details. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Other users and the platform itself rely on the accuracy of what you provide - inaccurate information can lead to a wasted or unsafe donation attempt.

4. Donor availability is not guaranteed

Registering as a donor does not commit you to donate on any particular occasion, and searching for a donor does not guarantee that a suitable or willing donor will be found. Donor status (such as "Available," "Busy," or "Contact me first") is self-reported and can change at any time without notice. BloodPk does not promise that any donor shown in search results will respond, be reachable, or be able or willing to donate when contacted.

5. Medical eligibility and compatibility

BloodPk does not determine whether a donor is medically fit to donate, whether a unit of blood is compatible with a particular recipient, or whether a donation is safe in any given circumstance. Those determinations can only be made by qualified healthcare professionals and staff at an authorised hospital or blood bank, at the time of donation, using their own screening, testing, and clinical judgement. Any blood-type or compatibility information shown on the platform is for coordination purposes only and must be independently verified by medical professionals before any donation or transfusion takes place.

6. Hospital and blood bank requirements

Every donation must take place at, or under the supervision of, a hospital or blood bank, and must follow that facility's own eligibility screening, documentation, and safety requirements. You are responsible for following the requirements of the facility where a donation takes place. BloodPk has no authority over, and is not responsible for, the policies, staff, or facilities of any third-party hospital or blood bank listed on the platform.

7. Not an emergency service

BloodPk is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee a response within any particular time frame, or at all. In a life-threatening emergency, contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital immediately. Do not rely on BloodPk to respond in time for an emergency.

8. Acceptable use

When using BloodPk, you must not:

• provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself, your blood type, your availability, a request, or a donation;
• use another person's contact details for any purpose other than the reason they were shared with you, or pass them on to anyone else;
• contact another user in a way that is abusive, threatening, or harassing, or contact a donor or requester more than is reasonably necessary to arrange or confirm a donation;
• attempt to circumvent the platform's privacy protections, including by scraping, automated collection of donor data, or repeated searches intended to build a private list of donors;
• misuse the request or reporting features, including by filing fraudulent requests or false reports about other users;
• upload donation proof that is falsified, altered, or does not relate to a genuine donation.

We may investigate suspected violations of this section, including by reviewing reports filed by other users and evidence submitted with a donation.

9. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove an account, a listing, a request, or specific content, with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, if information provided is false or misleading, or if we receive credible reports of misuse, fraud, or harassment. Where practical, we will explain the reason for the action taken.

10. Donation verification and the leaderboard

A donation is not counted, ranked, or reflected on a donor's public profile until it has been reviewed and verified by an administrator. Claiming a donation creates a record that is pending review; it does not, by itself, change a donor's public total. We may ask for proof of a donation and may decline to verify a donation if the evidence provided is insufficient, inconsistent, or appears fraudulent. Only verified donations are counted toward totals shown on the leaderboard or a donor's profile.

11. Changes to the service

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of BloodPk, temporarily or permanently, at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect how you use the platform, but we are not obliged to do so in every case.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BloodPk and its operators are not liable for any harm, loss, injury, or damage arising from: a donation or transfusion that takes place after being coordinated through the platform; the accuracy, availability, or conduct of any donor, requester, hospital, or blood bank; reliance on information found on the platform; or any failure to find a donor or fulfil a request in time. BloodPk is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of any kind regarding availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BloodPk after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
